A Story of Friendship

Our savory tapenades and spreads are made in Provence, in a small-scale workshop located to the west of the Massif des Maures. Not far from the windows of this workshop flows a river (a “coastal river,” as geographers call it) that quickly empties into the nearby Mediterranean Sea. It is in the heart of this land planted with fig trees, year after year, with the same regularity as the flowing water that never runs dry, that our products were conceived, refined, and reinvented.

Tapenades? Spreads? Toastinades? Which term best defines the preparations that come out of Façon C’s workshop? Perhaps all three, because limiting them to a single name would reduce these preparations to one region the South and to one culture, that of the olive. Yet, through the variety of ingredients used (such as beetroot or chestnut) and the subtlety of their combination, these recipes appeal to everyone both north and south of the Loire who recognize that gathering around the table is one of life’s most pleasant moments to share.

One last word before you take your time exploring this site. In our workshop, we often work with music. It is not uncommon for a preparation to be created while listening to and re-listening to an album. Over time, music has become, for us, a kind of flavor enhancer. That is why, in the description of each product, you will find Façon C’s “musical invitation.”

This musical invitation is our way of conveying a bit of the confident and warm atmosphere of the workshop. Our distant yet direct way of inviting you to discover the tone and color of each of our creations. And above all, our subtle way of being with you at aperitif time, as you raise a toast in honor of friendship with your loved ones.
